These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of SpaceBox Lite. By creating an account, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SpaceBox Lite is a client application for end-to-end-encrypted file transfers (“drops”). A Host (an account holder) can receive encrypted files from one or more Senders. Files are encrypted on the sending device and can only be decrypted by the intended Host; i46 stores only encrypted ciphertext and cannot read your files. Senders are accountless and are identified only by a key-derived identifier (no personal data is required to send).
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis (see Section 9).
3.1 Minimum age and capacity. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
3.2 Service systems. SpaceBox Lite operates across distinct system tiers with different infrastructure and data-location characteristics. The tier intended for European Union residents and citizens requires infrastructure located off-territory (space-based) or in Panama, which is not yet available.
3.3 EU/EEA users are not eligible (for now). Because the EU-compliant system is not yet operational, SpaceBox Lite is currently NOT offered to, and may not be used by, residents or citizens of the European Union or the European Economic Area (EU/EEA). By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are not an EU/EEA resident or citizen and are not accessing the Service from within the EU/EEA. We may verify eligibility, restrict access by region, and suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is used by or on behalf of an EU/EEA-based user. This restriction will be lifted for EU/EEA users once the EU-compliant system becomes available, at which point updated terms may apply.
4.1 A Host account is required to receive drops. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and the cryptographic keys held on your device. Because of the end-to-end-encrypted design, i46 cannot recover your private key or decrypt your data; loss of your key or device may result in permanent loss of access to your files.
4.2 You are responsible for all activity under your account and for the Senders you approve.
SpaceBox Lite is offered in the following plans. Specific limits are set out in-app and may change:

5.3 We may enforce technical and fair-use limits and may throttle, suspend, or limit accounts that exceed them or that adversely affect the Service or other users.
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) upload, store, or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; (b) violate any applicable law or third-party rights; (c) attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security of the Service or its cryptography; (d) send malware or conduct attacks; (e) resell or provide the Service to others except as permitted; or (f) use the Service from a prohibited location (see Section 3). We may remove access in response to violations, subject to the append-only/E2E nature of stored data described in Section 8.

8.1 End-to-end encryption. Files are encrypted client-side; i46 stores only ciphertext and cannot access file contents. Senders are pseudonymous (no personal data required to send).
8.2 Append-only. Received drops are append-only by design; a Host cannot delete an individual drop once received, and a Sender cannot retrieve a drop after sending. Account deletion / data removal is governed by the privacy policy.
8.3 Privacy Policy. Our processing of any limited account data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important files and keys.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, i46 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill. i46’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amounts you paid to i46 in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these Terms, for prohibited geographic use (Section 3), or as required by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of the Czech Republic shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the user’s country of residence.
